Business & Employment has more than 20 years experience in providing information, advice and support to small and micro business across Tasmania. From the Bass Strait Islands to Hobart, from Penguin to Scottsdale, we have the staff and programs to assist you to research, start up and grow your business.

Our small business advisory service delivers information and advice to the small and micro business sectors. Sponsored by both the Australian and State governments, Business & Employment provide these services at no cost to both existing small business operators and clients investigating opening a new small business or purchasing an existing business.

Business & Employment is a member of BEC Australia, an organisation consisting of over 130 members and associate members throughout Australia. BEC’s support the needs of small and micro businesses through all stages of development – from commencement to operation and growth, through to succession planning and implementation.

Each Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) has access to the talents and resources of the BEC Australia network. These vital partnerships give you access to independent, confidential and quality business assistance, professional services and programs additional to those offered by the government.
